There is an ancient and well founded tradition that the Bishop of Hereford coming from parliament in Nottingham to Blidworth forest for his health, and winding his horn to let the forest ranger know that he was exercising his privilege of hunting a Buck, was set upon by Robin at Rainworth near Python Hill.
